1. ESD protection needs to be remembered
You must do a good job of electrostatic protection (such as wearing anti-static gloves and anti-static wristbands to prevent electrostatic damage), try to contact the optical module shell instead of touching the optical module PIN pin;
Keep the humidity of the environment where the optical module is used at about 30-75%RH;
It is strictly forbidden to perform hot-swappable operations on non-hot-swappable equipment;
2. Always pay attention to optical port protection
Be sure to keep the end face of the optical fiber connector clean;
Avoid prolonged exposure to the optical port of the optical module, cover the optical port plug when not in use, and store the optical port plug in a dust-proof and clean place when not in use to avoid pollution;
The fiber connector should be inserted into the optical port horizontally to avoid scratching the end face or sleeve. The gold finger should face down, and be careful not to reverse the front and back;
Choose fiber optic connectors that meet the network access standards.
3. Correct use of SFP optical module
Avoid long-term exposure of the golden fingers of the optical module, and develop the habit of using dust caps to prevent long-term exposure and damage to the optical port;
When inserting, keep the optical fiber connector horizontally inserted into the optical port to ensure accurate docking; when pulling out, pull down the lock of the SFP optical module, pull the tab to pull out the SFP optical module slowly and parallel;
Handle with care to reduce accidental damage to the optical module.
